Farm Visit Friday: Biltz Greenhouses has the fruit

Blueberries are almost ready at Biltz Greenhouses.

Look at Biltz’s beautiful peach trees!

Ernie Biltz has been farming his 64 acres for about 30 years. He owns about 360-400 fruit bearing tress and about 700 blueberries bushes. Along with his black lab Winston, only two other people are employed by Ernie to help harvest the produce. Ernie also has a large hoop house, where he grows his red tomatoes.

Biltz Greenhouse produces:

• Blueberries

• Peaches

• Kennebec potatoes

• Red & White onion

• Green beans

• Cantaloupes

• Apples
