Stock up on produce for Labor Day cookouts
posted by SPD Communications on September 2, 2015It’s almost Labor Day weekend, but before you head out to your weekend destination stop by the Statehouse Market this Thursday, Sept. 3. Stock up on produce for your cookouts from our produce vendors. Our vendors are loaded with melons, tomatoes, apples, pears and more. Also look for some sweet corn and peppers too. We’ve also got a great lineup of food trucks and we’ve listed them below.
Produce Vendors
Biltz Greenhouses – Apples, peaches and maybe a sale on tomatoes again.
Posey & Pumpkin – Mums are here. Get 3 for $18. Also look for peppers, butternut squash, eggplants, jalapenos, okra, cucumbers, green beans, tomatoes, brown eggs, salad mix, flower bouquets and sunflowers.
Van Antwerp Farm – Tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, cantaloupe, watermelon and much more
Wilson Farm – Asian pears, candy onion, tomatoes, zucchini, apples, eggs, honeydews and peppers.
Oberweis Dairy – Sign up for delivery.
The Pork Shoppe – Brat sale continues this week: $1 off package of 4 brats – $6
Simple Taste Specialty Bakery – Simple Taste is expected to be back this week.
Wildflower Ridge Honey – Honey products including infused honeys and handsoap.

Rocket 88 Doughnuts – This cart sells doughnuts and cold brew coffee from Mile Square Coffee Roastery. Look for the cart here a few more times this season.
The Twisted Sicilian can’t make it this week due to a mechanical issue on the truck. They’ll return Sept. 17 and 24.
