Food + summer + awesome people = Statehouse Market
posted by SPD Communications on August 19, 2019 in MarketSchool is back in session throughout the great Hoosier State, but it’s always summer vacation at the Statehouse Market.
That’s what happens when you have myriad tables of fresh fruits and veggies, honey products that are truly the “bee’s knees,” baked goods that taste just like they’re straight out of your own oven, and a legion of food trucks offering the finest tastes (and free smells!) any restaurant on wheels can muster.
When you add it all up, the Statehouse Market is a kind of like a real-life version of the story problems you loved in math class.
Try this one out, and remember to show your work!
Q: If Maria had four five-pound bags of veggies, a 20-oz. tub of popcorn, and a giant slice of pepperoni pizza, and Joe was carrying a 10-pound basket of honey products, a 12-oz. cup of cold brew coffee, and five tacos, how much fun would they be having?
A: All of it! Maria and Joe would be having ALL of the fun.
And, of course, they would be at the Statehouse Market.
Put your pencils down and make plans to add the market to your lunch schedule this summer. You’ll only need to subtract approximately an hour from your day to exponentially multiply the fun you’ll have at work each Thursday. It’s elementary, dear market-goers!
Join us at the Statehouse Market between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each Thursday through Oct. 3 on Robert D. Orr Plaza! It’s the true sum of summer + fun.
