Food truck partners with pork vendor for special June 13 menu item

Der Pretzel Wagen is back this week and has teamed up with producer Grandpa Jay’s Pork on a sandwich to be premiered only at the Statehouse Market. Owner Bryan Monroe took a trip to Grandpa Jay’s in Kirklin this week and left with a bounty of bratwurst. Monroe says he used the bratwurst to make meatballs and that’s the main ingredient of the Der Zeppelin. The sandwich features bratwurst meatballs from Grandpa Jay’s and is served on a six-inch pretzel hoagie with marinara sauce, banana peppers and mozzarella. That sounds good to us!
