June 30 vendors at the Statehouse Market (Update)
posted by SPD Communications on June 28, 2016 in MarketWeek six of the market is upon us and it’s almost time to celebrate Independence Day. If you’re making a dish for a cookout or gathering you’re attending, our vendors have plenty of fresh ingredients you can use.
Join the vendors and food trucks listed below Thursday at the Statehouse Market. The market is open from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the temporary location in front of the Indiana State Museum.
Here are my three things to look for this week:
- Are you making a traditional American flag cake using sweet summer berries? Why not? Check out Biltz Greenhouses and Wilson Farm for blueberries, raspberries or even cherries. Another fruit option is peaches from either Biltz or Wilson Farm. Celebrate America with a peach pie or cobbler.
- Looking for a healthier lunch? Try the Cuban Roast Pork Sandwich with Mojo Sauce from Duos Mobile. Remember bacon makes everything better, so why not try out Caveman Truck’s Brussels Sprouts and Bacon. To see how Chef Shelby makes that dish and more, check out this video profile from our YouTube channel.
- For a pick me up, try the Stumptown Cold Brew Coffee from General American Donut Company. Or you can always get a frozen treat from Nicey Treat. If you have trouble opening your Nicey Treat, here’s a tip from a pro.
