Vendor Lineup for August 15

It’s here! GenCon invades downtown tomorrow so if you see a Stormtrooper or Captain America pass through the Statehouse Market tomorrow, don’t be alarmed. Also don’t let that stop you from trying all of the great, local produce from our vendors and a fresh lunch from our food trucks.

Biltz Greenhouses brought some of their first apples last week, so check them each week for more varieties of apples. Wilson Farms sold pears for the first time and expects to have those in five varieties the rest of the season. Red Barn Meats is completely restocked with all of their products, including bacon, steaks, sausage links and pork burgers.

On the food truck side, Caveman Truck features a new item called the Slow Taco. It has local 100 percent grass fed beef, spiced with cumin and cayenne topped with a citrus slaw. Spice Box is back and they’re entrees include channa, egg curry (eggs from Walker Farms) and their healthy option – Palak Paneer. Also Soul Sista On The Move returns and features baked chicken.
